About the Hump Ridge Track

Information About walking the Hump Ridge

The Hump Ridge Track can be walked independently or as a guided hike, and there are various packages available to include Helicopter assistance, pack transfers, or Jet Boat rides.

• Freedom Walk: Stay in multi-share accommodation at Okaka and Port Craig lodges.
• Prime Package: For the independent walker looking for some luxury - linen and hot showers are provided.
• Guided Walk: Guided walking experience includes accommodation (linen & hot showers provided), meals, and pack transfer.

The modern huts located at Okaka and Port Craig have bunkrooms that sleep 8 people and both huts include a shop and bar facilities. All cooking equipment is provided, flush toilets, lighting, and gas heating. There are also upgrades available to stay in private rooms which include king-sized beds with linen and towels supplied, along with hot showers (extra cost).
