If you need a place to store your luggage or vehicle while you're off exploring the hills, Te Anau and Queenstown offer a range of solutions. Although Southern New Zealand is generally safe, secure storage options are available for added peace of mind. We've listed some convenient storage options for your gear and vehicles below.
Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park & Motels
Off-street parking is available for your vehicle at the Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park & Motels.
Cost: $25.00 for up to one week of vehicle storage.
Bus pickup/drop-off: Bus services (including Tracknet) can collect you from the Department of Conservation (DOC) office, located directly across the road from the Holiday Park.
To arrange parking, please visit the Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park reception or the Tracknet office to purchase a parking ticket.

Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park & Motels
Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park have locker storage where you will be supplied your own locker that can be hired for up to two weeks. This can be organised upon your arrival in Te Anau. The charge for their guests is $15.00 (no bond).
If you are not a customer of the Holiday Park, the locker cost is $15.00 per locker, with a $10.00 bond refund upon key return.
Tracknet bus services depart from the Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park, or right across the road at the Department of Conservation Visitors Centre.
Info & Track Office
The Info & Track office in Queenstown can store baggage for you. The fee is $5.00 per bag for day storage or $10.00 per bag for overnight storage. Book directly with them: Email adventure@infotrack.co.nz or freephone: 0800 462 248. Info & Track are open daily from 7.00am-5.00pm and are located at 37 Shotover Street, Central Queenstown.
Tramping Gear Hire in Te Anau
If you are planning to hike in Fiordland but do not have all the necessary equipment for your journey, Tracknet suggest contacting the following organisations to enquire about hiring equipment. It is imperative that you are well prepared as conditions can change quickly, especially in alpine environments.
