Should you require storage for your luggage or vehicle while you are off on your adventure in the hills, Te Anau & Queenstown have some solutions for you. While Southern New Zealand is generally a safe place, there are options for secure storage for your possessions. For convenience and peace of mind, please see the below storage options for your gear and vehicles.

Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park & Motels

Off-street parking is available for your vehicle in Te Anau at the Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park & Motels. If you are travelling on Tracknet transport services, the car parking is FREE (you must still register at the office). Bus services can collect you from the Department of Conservation office (straight across the road from the Holiday Park) and drop you off again also. If not travelling on Tracknet services, The Holiday Park charges $10.00 for the entire time your vehicle is stored. Visit the Holiday Park or Tracknet office for a parking ticket.

Safer Parking

This innovative company is located at 48 Caswell Road and offers a secure locked car park for your vehicle for a nominal nightly fee. Tickets for parking can be booked on the Safer Parking website. Tracknet services are also able to collect you from the Safer Parking lot (please advise the Tracknet office to confirm pickup from here).

Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park & Motels

Hire a baggage locker for the time you are on the track. These lockers will easily fit a large pack or two in one of these. The fee is $10.00 to hire the locker plus a returnable key deposit of $10.00. These can be hired for up to one week. Tracknet bus services depart from here or right across the road at the Department of Conservation Visitors Centre.

Info & Track Office

The Info & Track office in Queenstown can store baggage for you. The fee is $5.00 per bag for day storage or $10.00 per bag for overnight storage. Book directly with them: Email adventure@infotrack.co.nz or freephone: 0800 462 248. Info & Track are open daily from 7.00am-5.00pm and are located at 37 Shotover Street, Central Queenstown.
